What is the process behind our New Dry Touch Jersey

Open‑end cotton yarn is made by rotor spinning, a high‑speed, highly automated method that turns a loose sliver of cotton into yarn without using a traditional ring‑spinning spindle.
Inside the rotor:
- The rotor spins at 30,000–100,000 rpm.
- Centrifugal force pushes fibres to the rotor wall, by opening the fibres, individualizing them, and then Fibres are collected in a groove and twist’s together as they’re continuously drawn off.
- This twist forms a continuous yarn, and then wound directly onto the cone.
From fibre to form, the knitting begins to create our dry touch 499- OEC jersey.
We can’t wait to see what you turn this into. Tag us when you do…
